Lisa A. Cabrera was born and raised in Miami, Fl. The youngest daughter of Cuban immigrants, Lisa learned at a young age about hard work and dedication. She enjoyed both academic and athletic success throughout high school and eventually college and law school. Early in high school Lisa knew she was interested in pursuing a legal career. She was elected president of her class and a member of the mock trial team.
Lisa attended Florida International University where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Psychology in December of 2006. She went on to FIU’s College of Law and obtained her J.D. in December of 2010. While at FIU Law Lisa held the distinguished position of Vice President of the Cuban American Law Society, and was also chosen to compete on behalf of FIU’s National Mock Trial Team. Lisa competed in several national and state competitions, helping place FIU as one of the top mock trial programs in the state.
Lisa began working at The Alvarez Law firm in January of 2007. She continued to work at the firm as a legal assistant and law clerk throughout law school. Upon graduating and after four years of hard work and commitment to The Alvarez Law Firm, she was hired as an associate.
Lisa is fluent in Spanish. She will be handling medical malpractice, product liability and pharmaceutical litigation cases.
