Good News for Victims of Big Tobacco

For years, big tobacco has been targeting our youth with slick marketing knowing full well they are selling a dangerous and life threatening product.

The Florida Supreme Court in a recent ruling is making it easier for individual victims to file their claims. The ruling was extremely favorable and held that:

1. Cigarettes are unreasonably dangerous
2. Cigarettes cause numerous types of cancer
3. Nicotine is addictive
4. Even though they knew about these dangers, tobacco companies intentionally tried to mislead consumers about the impact of cigarettes on their health.

The Supreme Court also identified the following related smoking illnesses: Cancer, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Hypertension, Stroke, Heart disease, and Peripheral Vascular Disease.

If you or a loved one were diagnosed with one of these smoking related illnesses between 1990 and November 1996 you may have a claim.
